Is there anything I can do for baby’s colic?I’ve heard that you can’t really do anything for a baby when it has colic. Is this true? Is it preventable? Colic is horrible at times….my sons cries ALL the time! To try and calm him, I rock him, make shushing noices and do a lot of dancing/bouncing. Also, I just switched to Enfamil Nutramigen formula which has seemed to help a bit. (Make sure you check with your pediatrician first, though!) Gripe water, found at nutrition stoes, is also awesome! Its all natural and seems to relax my little one. Hope this helps!

There are many common helpers for colic, but the one thing I have heard most about is to snuggly wrap your child in a blanket to keep from flailing, and rock your child. (Also called a “mummy wrap”) This technique has been known to work in that it brings the child back to the feeling of the tightness in the womb. Make sure to keep the child’s face uncovered! I have also had personal experience in which a colicy child can be helped by driving your them around in the car.
