Watermelon and BabyIs it ok to give watermelon to a 5 month old baby? Popularity: 50% March 17, 2007 | In Questions |2 Comments »RSS feed for comments on this post. TrackBack URI Leave a comment |

It has been suggested by numerous experts that parents hold off on starting their children on solid foods until 6 months of age. I would suggest waiting until at least then, especially for a fruit like watermelon, that can have seends, smaill particals or can be hard for baby to chew on, considering the limited teeth your infant has.

The above poster is obviously one of those people that listen to everything the book/doctors say.
Yes you can give your 6 mo. old watermelon… he/she would absolutely love it and it will benefit him/her in so many ways!!
I really wish new parents would go with their guts and stop listening to all the wackos out there!!
